First published in 1865, The Law Reports represent the benchmark in law reporting. They are the most authoritative reports and cited in preference.
The Law Reports give a fuller treatment to cases reported in Volumes 2 and 3 of The Weekly Law Reports which are considered to be of particular interest, which introduce new principles or rules of law or modify existing ones, which settle or materially settle questions upon which the law is doubtful or vague or which for any reason reform or develop the law.
