Wages Code, 2019: A Commentary

The Wages Code, 2019 is a commentary by Dr. J.K. Verma. The Code consolidates, simplifies, and rationalises the provisions of the following four central labour enactments relating to wages:

1. The Payment of Wages Act, 1936
2. The Minimum Wages Act, 1948
3. The Payment of Bonus Act, 1965;
4. The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976.

Section 69 of the Wages Code, 2019 repeals these four enactments.
