It is generally argued that women from ages have been branded as weak, fair and oppressed. Further, they were also victims of men s supremacy and boiled down to non-entities for the reason their involvement in family affairs is peripheral and in decision making totally ignored.
As days rolled by, realization is noticed in the society that the absence of women's class brings neither progress nor development in the society. Hence, the time has come to discuss across the .sections to put forth all efforts for the upliftment and empowerment of women with their male counterparts equally.
In this connection one important tool through which the women can consolidate their position is employment . Under this background, an effort is made in this study to find an answer for the question does employed women enjoy more empowerment.
