Offences against children and juvenile offences have now become an independent subject of study at the LL.B. level, marking a significant step towards raising awareness about children's rights. There was an increasing demand from students for a concise, accessible reference book on this subject, and this book aims to fulfill that need. The primary objective of this book is to provide students, teachers, and researchers with a useful and comprehensive resource on "Offences Against Children and Juvenile Offence." It includes relevant provisions and case laws in a clear and concise manner. The book is divided into two parts:
- Part I: Covers fourteen chapters dedicated to offences against children.
- Part II: Focuses on juvenile justice.
The latest amendments, including the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Amendment Act, 2021, have been incorporated at appropriate sections of the book. Efforts have been made to present the subject matter in simple, easy-to-understand language to ensure that it is accessible to all students.
