Overview:

Innovative activities in the business sector have shown some significant increases during the postreform process. The concept attracted considerable attention among analysis of all hues and shapes particularly after the global financial crisis. One of the issues that is highlighted in the discussions is the emergence and rose of a number of knowlefheintensive manufacturing and service industries and these industries together now account for a growing share of the countrys gross domestic product (GDP). India has now become a grwoing destination for the innovative activities by the multinational companies (MNCs) and this manifest itself in the form of a grwoing process of foreign research and development (R&D) centres in the country. Again foreign direct investment (FDI) from India has been steadily increasing and over the years 2007 and 2008, there were a number of high profile takeovers of Westerntechnology based companies by Indian corporates. All these indicators and more have prompted analysis to think that India has become more innovative since 1991 and recent attempts at measuring the contribution of technology to economic growth essentiality through measures such as total factor productivity (TFP) appear to indicate that Indian industries, both manufacturing and service sectors, have become active from the innovation point of view. This edition Innovations in Manageemnt Science is an attempt to inquire the innovative activities that are on the rise in India through the contribution of management intellectuals. The various innovative ideas that are gathered from the researches in different fields of management are structed into five different sections. SectionI narrates the innovations that are emerged in the area of Marketing Management. SectionII of the book analyses various ideas contributed in Human Resource Management. Ideas on Banking and Finance are the subject matter of sectionIII of the book where as various innovations found in Production and Operations Management is described in partIV of the book. PartV deals with the Innovations in Information Technology. It is sure the book will be immensely useful to students, academicians, researchers, practitioners in the field of management.
