Innovative activities in the business sector have shown some significant increases during the postreform process. The concept attracted considerable attention among analysis of all hues and shapes particularly after the global financial crisis. One of the issues that is highlighted in the discussions is the emergence and rose of a number of knowlefheintensive manufacturing and service industries and these industries together now account for a growing share of the countrys gross domestic product (GDP). India has now become a grwoing destination for the innovative activities by the multinational companies (MNCs) and this manifest itself in the form of a grwoing process of foreign research and development (R&D) centres in the country.
