?If India ever finds its way back to freedom and democracy that proud hallmark of its first 18 years, someone will surely erect a monument to justice H.R. Khanna of the Supreme Court.?
So wrote the New York times in its editorial, after Justice Khanna delivered his dissent in the \"Habeas Corpus Case\". The book is a revealing guide to the incidents that shaped up one of the most tragic incidents of judicial history in post-independence era. Indeed, the courage and conviction of Justice Khanna in the democratic principles was unparalleled, and which he upheld at all costs. He let loose the Chief-Justiceship of the Supreme Court, but kept the honor and integrity of the Constitution of India. He is indeed a living legend, and has set out an example for generations to follow. A must read for everyone.
