  • Lawyer : This volume contains a detailed discussion on each section with up-to-date case laws. Legislative reference and state amendments have been given at the foot of each section. There has been a thorough analysis of sections with reference to decided cases of the Apex Court as well as different High Courts. In depth study made by the author is discernible from a reading of the commentary a must for the Bench and the Bar besides others who are concerned with the interpretation of the provisions of the Act.
  • National Institute of Construction Management and Research : The book under review contains an introduction to the Minimum Wages Act, a historical introspection of minimum wages in India, views of the Royal Commission on Labour in India, socio-economic approach to wage fixation, and main features of the Act and so on. The book provides a detailed commentary to all 31 sections of the Act.

    The Special Feature of the book is a detailed coverage of judgments pronounced by different High Courts and Supreme Court regarding the minimum wages concept, constitutionality of the Act and interpretation of the various provisions of the Act.
