The Safe Space

This book is an endeavour to educate people about the terminology and concepts of gender and sexuality. This aims to help create safer and more supportive environments. The contents of the book are accompanied by a portfolio of Kaavya's original artworks, and poetry by queer writers that inspired her.

About The Author

Kaavya Mukherjee Saha is 16 years old and is a Class 12 student of Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. She is also the Editor of the school, and is passionate about advocacy through different mediums of art, discourse and writing. She is striving to create inclusive and safe spaces for children by spreading awareness, through her organisation The Lavender Project. When she is not writing, she enjoys debating, reading, painting, film making and playing the violin.
