"In today's hyper-globalised world it is worth of nothing that the urban Indians still view the tribal as primitive, less civilized, uncouth savage or a race unblemished by the fascination of the developed and ferocious technology driven civilization. After so many decades of Independence there still exist an absenteeism of a "cultural contact" between the tribal people and the mainstream society. The following edited book is an attempt to academically acknowledge the contribution of the Indian tribes, highlighting the involvement of the Indian Tribes in terms of culture, heritage, literature and art. Enriching the society with the studies conducted on the tribal and further augmenting mutual respect between the tribal and urban people.
