Writing an introduction for the scholarly journey of Amal K. Ganguli, Senior Advocate, is an excellent enjoyment and privilege. As Amal, as I used to address, completes 50 years at the Bar, of which 38 years as a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court, we thought of an intellectual celebration. Liber Amicorum was the original idea; however, his incredible journey as a scholar has become the outcome. The main reason for this shift was the many lectures and articles he contributed to the Bar and scholarly community and systematically and meticulously preserved by his office. Out of these many, we found 31 lectures and articles compiled in this volume as the intellectual treasure of a lawyer who has appeared in thousands of cases before almost every principal high court with the highest amount of time at the Supreme Court.
