Overview:

"An excellent practical handbook offering wealth of essential information!"

The new 15th edition of this very popular handbook on labour and industrial law has been thoroughly revised and updated. This current single handy volume contains a comprehensive coverage of over 43 important legislations that are essential for the functioning of an Industrial Undertaking.

The present work has been painstakingly updated to include all recent case law and the amendments introduced to various statutes after the release of the last edition. All the enactments on the subject along with important case law under different sections of the statutes are included.

The expanse of the publication has been increased by including two new Acts, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 and Provident Funds Act, 1925. A detailed subject index at the end of the book facilitates the reader’s search of law on the topic of his interest.

"The book admirably serves the..."
The book admirably serves the need of practicing lawyers and students of labour law by bringing the important Labour and Industrial Laws under one umbrella. The book examines several important legislations like I.D. Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, Trade Union Act, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Factories Act etc. This list is only illustrative and not exhaustive. The chief merit of the book lies in the comprehensive treatment given to the subject. This book, which maintains excellent production quality, is reasonably priced, it is undoubtedly a valuable contribution.
