The aim of the authors has been to ultimately bring it in consonance with the Complete Digest of Supreme Court Cases so that the Supreme Court Criminal Digest becomes a yearly appendicle/update to it and the two can be searched seamlessly.
Further the book serves as a complementary to the Supreme Court Cases (Cri), which is exclusively devoted to the reporting of criminal judgments of the Supreme Court, both reportable and non-reportable.
