Containing over 1500 entries, this new volume has been thoroughly updated and expanded and covers the period 2011 till the year (2021) 13 SCC volumes. The words and phrases have been very carefully extracted after thorough research of Supreme Court case law of the last 11 years as reported in Supreme Court Cases (SCC). The statutory or non-statutory context in which the judicial determination arose, has been clearly indicated in this work.

In some cases, the Court has sought to define a word or phrase, whereas in others it has directly applied the dictionary meaning, and sometimes merely implied the meaning. There are some instances where the meaning of a word or phrase is made clear only by a process of exclusion. In other cases, the meaning can merely be inferred from the instance described. All such instances enumerated above have been included to make this work exhaustive and useful for our readers.
