Cambridge Social Sciences is a series in History, Geography and Social and Political Life for classes 6 to 8. It conforms to the NCF 2005 prepared by NCERT. The exercises in this series are based on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) scheme. As envisioned in the NCF 2005, the series presents History in a manner that would allow students to make interconnections between processes and events, between developments recorded in different places and between histories of different people and societies.
It introduces Geography in a way that helps students in understanding the interdependence of various regions and countries by focusing on contemporary issues and global concerns. In Social and Political Life, the series seeks to enable students to make an interconnectedness between the political and social aspects of everyday life and understand the social and political complexities of our democracy, our society and the way we function.
