A partnership is one such relationship where persons come together to carry out business and share profits and losses. The course begins with a short introduction module where you will get a general introduction and a historical glimpse of the Indian partnership law. We then walk you through important legal definitions relating to partnerships and the kinds of partnerships. The subsequent module takes you through factors that influence a partnership and the tests to determine a partnership relationship. The course also brings practical insight into the process of registration for a partnership. The course further takes you through legal aspects relating to the property of partnership, rights, duties, and liabilities of partners. The last module brings out a detailed discussion on the dissolution of a partnership business. This module includes 15 videos and all relevant sections. It also includes practice exercises, examination pointers, mind maps, and flashcards along with the full text of cases.
Instructor
Dr Pratima Narayan is an Advocate, mediator, and Founder Partner of Techlawlogi Consulting LLP, a law firm based out of Bengaluru. She is an Editor and Consultant at EBC Learning. She has offered courses on Consumer Law, Arbitration, Ecommerce, Contract Law, and Corporate Law on the platform. She has authored a book on “Electronic Commerce: Legal Compliance”, published by EBC. The book comprehensively outlines the various legal and regulatory frameworks and compliance for e-commerce players. Dr Pratima has served the legal academia for over two decades as a visiting faculty at various reputed law schools and business schools. Dr. Pratima holds a doctorate in law from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru.
