Corporate meetings are significant in the development and efficient management of an organisation. As we know, a company is a separate entity from that its members. Since it cannot act on its own, the members who constitute it take important decisions on its behalf. At the same time, it must ensure that its stakeholders are given an opportunity to participate in discussions that impact the organisation. Meetings give the members, directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders an opportunity to express their opinions and concerns with regard to the management of the company's affairs. Strategic planning, policy decisions, and evaluation of stakeholders' interests are some of the key issues that are taken up during the meetings. Corporate meetings, unlike regular business meetings, call for more structured and detailed compliance under the Companies Act. This course discusses the meaning, definition and classification of meetings under the Companies Act.

WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?

The course describes the legal compliances to be followed prior to and post the conducting corporate meetings. The course has been designed around topics that can be useful for CA/CS students/examinees as well as for B.Com, BBA, and MBA students. Practitioners can also avail of this as a refresher course. The subject matter is expressed in clear and simple language for a quick and deeper learning of the important aspects of corporate meetings.
