The book analyses the various challenges that impede the promotion, protection and realization of the rights of women, girls and other minority groups in Africa. It calls for the building of strong institutions as well as the involvement of both state and non-state actors in advancing and safeguarding the rights of women and minority groups in Africa through legal reforms and robust institutional mechanisms for the enforcement of relevant laws and policies. The book is of great interest to scholars, practitioners, students, government officials and women and minority rights organizations in Africa and beyond.
